KDCC Code of Ethics

Welcome to the Kan Do Creators Code of Ethics. This is how we operate: clearly, honestly, and with purpose. Whether you're a creator learning from us, a sponsor partnering with us, or a community member finding your voice, this page explains what you can expect from KDCC and what we expect from ourselves. We believe in doing good work, giving credit where it's due, and helping creators grow without hype, shortcuts, or hidden agendas.

Why This Exists

At KDCC, we serve a global community of creators at all levels. Our mission is to inform, entertain, and inspire people from all walks of life to share their stories. We do this through videos, events, templates, tools, coaching, and more. This code outlines how we hold ourselves accountable to creators, partners, and each other.

1. Transparency First

We clearly disclose when a product, service, or tool is sponsored, affiliated, or monetized. This includes:

  • Paid partnerships and brand deals

  • Affiliate links or product placements

  • Early access to software or gear provided for free

We never publish hidden promotions or blur the line between opinion and payment. We do not accept affiliate-only partnerships. If a tool or brand wants to work with us, it must offer more than just commission. If we helped build something, advise on it, or have any stake in it, we will tell you.

2. Respect for Our Community

We are building a space where creators can grow without fear of judgment, gatekeeping, or discrimination.

  • No harassment, hate speech, or exclusion

  • No tolerance for toxic behavior or intimidation

  • Welcoming of creators from all backgrounds, skill levels, and identities

We actively moderate our Discord, livestreams, comment sections, and partner platforms to keep the space safe and inclusive.

3. Accuracy and Accountability

We do not promise virality, and we do not chase trends at the cost of truth. Our goal is to share what works, why it works, and when it doesn’t.

  • If we get something wrong, we own it and correct it publicly

  • If a tool changes or underperforms, we update our recommendations

  • If a partner behaves unethically, we will reevaluate that relationship and speak up when needed

We would rather be clear than clever.

4. Ethical Use of Software

As creators who depend on software, we treat it with respect. The tools we recommend or use must:

  • Respect user privacy

  • Be transparent about data usage and AI features

  • Offer real value beyond hype

  • Avoid exploiting creators or replacing them without consent

We credit developers, cite sources, and follow licensing rules for any templates, visuals, or code. We believe good software supports creativity, not replaces it.

5. Protecting Privacy and Consent

Your story belongs to you. While we encourage creators to share and grow together, we take consent seriously.

  • We do not share private messages, emails, project files, or internal conversations without clear permission, unless required by law or covered by a prior agreement

  • We anonymize case studies unless the creator has agreed to be named

  • We ask before quoting, recording, or featuring community content in public spaces

  • We follow data protection laws like the CCPA and GDPR where applicable

If we need to use or reference your content more broadly, we will ask first or make sure it falls within clear terms.

6. Fair Collaboration and Credit

We build with our community, not on top of it.

  • We do not steal ideas, scripts, or strategies

  • We credit community members, collaborators, and tools that shape our work

  • We never repurpose feedback, submissions, or private conversations for content without consent

If someone helps us improve, we say thank you, clearly and publicly.

7. Use of Likeness and Identity

The name, voice, image, and likeness of Andrew Kan, Ike Do, or any KDCC team member may not be used in marketing, promotions, thumbnails, AI-generated content, or derivative work without prior written approval.

  • Any approved use must clearly state the purpose, platform, and duration of use

  • Time-limited permissions will be enforced. Continued use beyond that scope requires renewed consent

  • This applies to sponsors, partners, and community members

We reserve the right to revoke permission if the use becomes misleading or misaligned with our values.

8. For Our Partners

If you are a brand, sponsor, or collaborator, this is what you can expect when working with KDCC:

  • Honest feedback and clear communication

  • A community-first mindset

  • Transparent goals and outcomes

  • No inflated metrics or false promises

We do not work with companies that:

  • Rely on affiliate-only models

  • Use manipulative marketing or deceptive funnels

  • Exploit user data without consent

  • Sell speculative crypto, NFT, or “guaranteed” growth products

  • Use AI to replace human creativity in unethical ways

If your values align with ours, let’s build something useful together.

9. If Something Goes Wrong

Mistakes happen. We’re not above correction, and we welcome feedback.
If you feel we’ve fallen short of our ethics, please reach out. You can contact us directly with feedback.

11. Last Updated

June 11, 2025
Reviewed and updated annually or as needed based on platform changes, community input, or evolving standards.

12. AI and Automation Disclosure

We use AI tools where they enhance efficiency, such as for editing, transcription, layout, or scripting. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, rewritten, or refined by a human before it is shared. We do not outsource quality or responsibility to automation.

13. Community-Driven Credits

When community insights, questions, or shared wins help shape our content, we credit contributors by name with permission or link directly to their work. We believe in building content with our community, not just for it.

14. Mental Health and Creator Wellness

We do not encourage burnout, hustle culture, or toxic productivity. We believe in sustainable growth, breaks when needed, and supporting creators through the highs and lows of the process. Growth should not come at the cost of your well-being.

15. No-Gimmick Policy

We avoid gimmicks, fake scarcity, and manipulative tactics. If a product or strategy only works when it’s hiding the truth, it doesn’t belong here.
